Jekyyl and Hyde

Beyond frustrating. Horrible does not begin to describe that first half. Between the bad interceptions , the horrible tackling , wrong route running and costly penalties doomed us. Beck came to life in the second half. Now he just needs to keep that mentality the rest of the season. We tried the first half to be explosive but too many things went wrong. In a reverse of last game i am more concerned about the defense. Mainly tackling. Two first half drives that resulted in touchdowns for them we missed two sacks both on 3rd down. Make them and the score changes. No excuse to tackle so poorly. Jackson played his best game and was tackling anything that moved. Very proud on never giving up but we need to play complete games. I would imagine we have some doomsayers on here but i am not one at all. Not a moral victory but biggest to me was we took shots and connected. We have to look forward and not back. This game should help us in future games. As always GO DAWGS!!!

Thoughts on Auburn

I’m tired of seeing a bunch of Auburn cock munching on here. It’s tiring. So therefore, I thought I would share my thoughts on those losers to help balance out the vent.

I get it, we’re in a coping stage. We had a hurricane come through and ravage the state, had that awful first quarter in Tuscaloosa only to get our hearts ripped out by those bastards again, we’re getting possibly poisoned by toxic chlorine gas, and then we get to see the Braves season from hell end unceremoniously. That’s a lot of shit to deal with in one week.

But get your mind right, folks. Auburn is not a good football team. We might not be that good either, but they certainly aren’t. They haven’t beaten us outside of Jordan-Hare since 2005, and haven’t come within a score of us outside of Jordan-Hare since 2009. Thank God for Rambo sacrificing his body that night. Why do people think they have a legit chance to do so on Saturday?

I get it, they could be 5-0, but they’re not. They’re 2-3. They lost to Cal, who can’t even beat DJU, Arkansas, who will probably be looking for a coach next year, and OU with a first time starter on the road. Yeah, we played like shit for 60 minutes up in Lexington and 30 minutes in Tuscaloosa, but we are way closer to 5-0 than they are and we haven’t even played 5 games.

If you haven’t hated Auburn yet, I need you to. It’s extremely easy to hate them and if you haven’t hated them, I would go to a doctor cause something is wrong. If you need help hating Auburn, see below.

1. Auburn has little brother syndrome to not one but two programs. Imagine how much of an inferiority complex you have to be to be little brother to two programs.

2. Despite the inferiority complex, they somehow project a superiority complex too. They think they’re better than the flagship state institutions they’re little brother of because they have less “Walmart fans” or whatever. Just proves no one wants to be fans of their shitty program. And in a world of NIL, the more fans the better. Money is money, no matter if it comes from people with alumni stickers or wearing the unlicensed Walmart gear.

3. They do shit like this. Login to view embedded media I know some of yall hate the Battle Hymn cause it sounds like a funeral, but at least we show our history. Auburn doesn’t, and despite having two of the most memorable plays in college football history (albeit fluky as hell), they would rather wanna show a dirty hit on their videoboard. Goes back to point #1. Inferiority complex.

4. They think they’re all high and mighty because they have some bullshit creed, which reads something like “I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.” And then they go out and hire Bruce Pearl and Hugh Freeze. Lying, hypocritical bastards.

5. After they got unjustified back to back home games against us, which messed up their Georgia/Alabama home and home rotation (and also something that hasn’t been rectified with back to back home games here), they bitched and moaned to the SEC about playing us and Alabama too closely and got the game moved to September/early October. Throwing history out of the window after playing in November for over 100 years. Pathetic. You have never heard us bitch and moan about playing our rivals close to one another on the calendar.

6. Junior Rosegreen and Nick Fairley. F them.

I could go on, but you get the point. To hell with Auburn. Can’t wait to crush their hopes and dreams on Saturday, will remind all of their fans of UGA admissions decision day when they got rejected.

Final Thought

Your starting Quarterback had 4 turnovers(5 if you count the safety) and you legitimately almost won that game. Should tell you all you need to know about the season moving forward. That’s the worst game Beck will *probably* ever play in a Georgia uniform and he gave you a shot all the way to the end. Also if you want good analysis on the game and how other people other than Georgia fans viewed it, check out some Joel Klatt clips and listen to the Split Zone Duo hurry up recap pod it’s good insight.

GA-FL Parking

There are very few spots left in the lots managed by “tailgaters parking” in Jacksonville. I had an email today saying 50 vehicle and 15 RV spots left. The vehicle spots are in the half time and field goal lots.
Just throwing it out there in case anyone is still looking for a parking spot. The website is tailgatersparking.com.

ND: If you'd like to help.

If you are looking for a way to offer a hand to those in need, I started a GoFundMe for the Caudle family to help raise some funds to help them in the recovery process. The Caudles (Christopher and April) own Buck Hill Campground in Plumtree, NC (located between Spruce Pine and Newland). This area saw unimaginable flooding from the storm and everything there was devastated. During the madness, Christopher was putting himself in danger trying to rescue people who were at risk in the campground. Three people from the campground were washed downstream. Thankfully they were all found and rescued 2 days later.

I had a 5th wheel RV in this campground ... it was turned into a houseboat and was ripped apart. Fortunately, I was not there during the madness as I had gone back to Florida to prepare my house and boats in advance of the storm. Roads and bridges that lead to the campground are destroyed in all directions. It will take years to fully rebuild. As soon as they tell me that I can get access, I will be driving up from Florida and taking whatever supplies I can provide. The funds that I am raising below will go directly to the family to aid in their recovery. The Caudles are a wonderful family who want nothing more than to make other people's lives better. Any help is greatly appreciated. Christopher was a collegiate tennis player at Duke and he enjoys talking to me about football, in particular the Dawgs ... I think he is even becoming a fan ... even if he won't yet admit it. And if you are able to help, give him a "Go Dawgs!" in the comments, as I know that will put a smile on his face.

Thank you and feel free to share.

Why Bobo sucks

it is and has been so obvious that the identify of this offense should be Beck slinging the ball all over the filed.

And yet we didn't come out with a gameplan that focused on letting him do that until tonight.

Which clearly left us in an awkward position with a bunch of kinks to work out.

We should have been doing this since the first possession against Clemson. Had we been working toward it all season, we'd be a bit more in sync, and a bit more comfortable, and that very likely would have made a difference tonight.

Yet we wasted rep after rep trying to pond the rock against Clemson and KY, only reverting back to what we're actually good at when we got in trouble

Unbelievably stupid.

This offense has real potential to be great, but you can only become great by honing your strengths until you can execute them flawlessly.

Let's put to bed the nonsense that this offense doesn't have any talent. It clearly does, it just needs an OC that knows how to make use of it.

Question for the Vent knowledge base: With UGA staff tickets, is a UGA employee ID required for entry?

The Golden Son was offered an opportunity to buy a couple of staff tickets to the AU game. I told him I thought I remembered reading on here previously that the gate attendants required an employee ID to get in. The seller of the tickets (UGA staff member) says that's not the case, you just scan and go in.

I will welcome responses from those in the know.

Much obliged!
