Bama = 23 Aub game?

My one hope coming off that performance is Beck plays the rest of the year the way we expected him to play all year.

In 23 Beck was timid, didn't play well vs SCAR or Aub. But when we needed it he and a lot of Bowers answered the Bell vs Aub and he rolled most of the season after that. Maybe this is that game for him this year and rides the momentum the rest of the year.

Why did he need this again? Who knows. If the results are the same I can live with it.

But **** I'm tired of losing to those guys over in Tuscaloosa.

Looking ahead.

We simply need to get over last Saturday’s debacle. All aspects of our program were beaten…players, coaches, and schematic preparation. I’ll be watching closely on how we perform against Auburn and at Texas. We’ve either been exposed which will mean 3 losses…OR we’ll improve with a sense of urgency that will make the Alabama game a turning point (positive). Nobody expected us to win all three at Alabama, at Texas and at Ole Miss…let’s win at home and start a new win streak. Beating Auburn and Texas will remove the bad taste from Saturday.
One game at a time. I’m betting on Kirby. He’s pretty good at this gig.

Kill everybody

How the fk is that OK for Ryan Williams to have that written on his eye black stickers on national TV? And not one bama dong sucking national media drone said one thing about it.

Imagine if anyone else had that written on their face for a national TV game... the professionally offended media would be all over it.

LANK.
How the fk is that an acceptable acronym for that dumbass country piece of shit Milroe to have as the name of his apparel line?
And don't even try to pretend that the N stands for f-ing "naysayer". The most inflammatory word in our society is used in his 2nd rate clothing line & is just laughed off as a cute little foible of that ignorant peon.

Everything about that program is f-ing trash. I despise every player & every fan & everyone associated with them.

Scorched earth…

(Edit: for clarity, this post is referring to a scorched earth mentality in recruiting only. Not proposing we tear down the foundations of this program. )

Now, I’ve already posted saying that right now is not the time to hit the eject button and pull wholesale changes in this team and this coaching staff. It’s a long season, goals are still there.

BUT, I firmly believe we need an Ohio State level decimation of the portal and recruiting field. Like, scorched earth, throw everything you got at it, break all of your own rules, and finally cough up some cash for some of these game changing players.

Ohio State got whipped three years in a row by Michigan, and that program and fan base had such a disgusting taste in their mouth… they’d had enough. So Cryin’ Day pulled all the strings. The program and the boosters (including former players) sunk a ton of money into that NIL budget. We will see how that plays out this season, but if we want to stay at the top of college football, we have to figure out how to get the secret weapon on this football team… the players.

Kirby Smart needs to seriously and painfully assess the strategies and systems he’s been using since he’s been here, the ones he learned from Saban, to see if they are still working. Right now, it doesn’t look to me like they still are, but I’m a nobody that can hardly pay all my bills.

To be clear, I don’t think that RIGHT THIS MOMENT we are in trouble. But this is a fork in the road type of moment. What team are we and who can we be? Do we have enough? If not, we gotta start making some adjustments.

Just curious-Is Beck coached to take the slide before the hit,

regardless of where he might be on the field? Being serious, cause I just dont know.

I do know he's big as hell, and could pack quite a puch himself, but for the life of me, cant uderstand not doing what you've got to do to get the first down.

Jackson Dart will lower the boom. Vandagriff might not finish the season, but he dont shy away from contact.

I dont get it, unless it says a lot about the talet behind CB.

These Dawgs Fight & I Love it!

We are 0-1 against Bama's new staff; that's it. The media and some of you will make it seem like it's more than this but it's all noise. We lost because they did something we weren't prepared for in the 1st half, they made more plays, and they played a much cleaner game. All of that, and they still barely won in the end. Bama is not as good as they played in the 1st half, and we certainly aren't as bad as we played in the 1st half. I don't know why we were caught off guard, but we were. $hhiit happens. If CKS is not prepared for something, I assume it's because it's something they haven't shown before. Tip your hat to Bama because it paid off THIS TIME. After Beck's fumble, I know most of you pansies gave up, but thankfully, our coaches and players have a pair and keep fighting no matter the circumstances. When the fumble happened, I was concerned about how Beck would respond. I think it's safe to say the entire team responded the right way and continued fighting until the end. What I learned from this game is we can spot a team 28 points and still win. That's Amazing & a team I can get behind!! I promise you there aren't many teams that could have made a game out of that one. Not only did we make it a game, we took a brief lead. Of course, I was disappointed we lost our first regular season game since Nov. of 2020, but I'm fired up to see the fight these Dawgs have. Having a team of guys that will fight until the end is a coach's dream, so Dawg Fans, ignore the noise and rest easy knowing this is a damn good team & we are lucky to have a team like this to cheer for on Sattidy! Love Dawg Nation & Go Dawgs!

Farewell to my Hoya friend, who was a greater man and humanitarian than he ever was an athlete.

I am so very sad.

Josh Pate: Sarah McLachlan Special

Might be too soon for some to watch, but his Sarah McLachlan special on Ryan Williams' TD shows just how special that kid is. He and Milroe are elite and they are the reason we lost. There's not another QB like Milroe in CFB. He's their best and fastest RB and a dime deep baller. The fact that we came back like we did and took the lead is an incredible testament to our team and coaching staff. Sucks to lose, sucks to lose to Bama again, but they've got two special players and we don't have anyone like that.

Our team can improve, our coaching can improve, but we came damn near to beating those guys in Tuscaloosa, which is maybe the most elite CFB stadium experience, against a team built by Saban (and I'm not convinced he's not helping some) and with two very special players.

We can beat them if we see them again, we just can't get into a hole like that first half. I don't think we will.

Trying to understand the last drive of the game

I felt we should have run the ball some on the final drive when we got to the 20. We had 48 seconds with two timeouts. ETN was getting yards late in the game. Why do a 50/50 ball with that much time? Work the clock and get in at little closer. Even Herbstreit was wondering why we didn’t slow it down. Also takes time off for Milro and company if they get the ball back.
