Last two times we’ve played Alabama

You can point to a number of things that lost us those games.

But one parallel I can’t shake is crunch time in the 4th quarter

2023:
We scratched our way back into the game, trailed by three with a few minutes to go. Offense had just scored a touchdown and we need one stop to maybe go win/tie the game. Can’t do it, Alabama gashes us for 30+ yards on the first play, game over.

2024:
We scratched our way back into the game, led by one with a few minutes to go. Offense had just scored a touchdown and we need one stop to win the game. Can’t do it, Alabama gashes us for 75 yards on the first play.

We can hem and haw about the last pick, the call, etc. but if we get off the field on defense there we win and give Alabama their most humiliating loss in 5+ years. If we get the ball back and win last year, we might three-peat.

Defense failed us late twice, each time for a chunk play on first down.

Good Morning Dawg Nation

I finally made it back to the world wide web. Missed you all!!

I'll admit after Saturday night I was glad I couldn't read the Vent. Really spotty TV reception with an ancient antenna didn't help me with the game and we completely lost it around the 10 minute mark in the 3rd quarter. Then the Dawgs finally found some fire!! So glad they did because it was about pride at that point. I hate Bama. I've seen some things today, including Williams "Kill Everybody" mantra on his eye tape and I'm disappointed in that program. Hatred and disappointment. Hope we get a second chance.

Also, nothing like some really bad weather to keep the important things at the forefront of your life. Thankful for safety, health and a wonderful community this weekend.

Safe travels to you @godogs57
Hope NM is good to you

Praying for all those on LDGMDNOPL
and all the GMDN gang too!

Happy Birthday/Anniversary if you're celebrating today 🎉🎉

Love you guys and gals, MEAN IT.....

Go Dawgs ❤️

Hot Take- Auburn

I know the line for Auburn is over 20 points, but that is too much. Oklahoma's defense is close to as good as UGA's, and Auburn dominated them. Auburn had over twice as many yards, first downs, etc. But for two missed field goals and a pick six, Auburn wins 27-17. Auburn has outplayed all five of the teams it has faced; it lost three of those games due only to an unbelievable number of turnovers. Those things tend to even out in the long-run, and Auburn is due for the breaks to go their way. At the same time. we just gave up four turnovers ourselves and are not immune, therefore, from doing it again. Due to the late game and travel, Auburn has had more prep and rest time. Our players have little reason to be fired up about playing a 2-3 team and may still be thinking about Ala instead of Auburn this week. Playing on the road after losing three at home may help Auburn play with less stress; teams tend to play better when more relaxed and looser. We needed Bowers to win last year; he is not here now. We should beat Auburn easily, but it will not surprise me to see us struggle.

The thing I love about sports…

Is that you don’t know what’s going to happen.

The thing I hate about sports is how people think they do.

Message boards and the internet are for chatter and analysis. Football is hard. No one KNOWS what will happen. Everyone thought they KNEW Stetson just couldn’t beat Alabama. Until he did. Carson will get to prove it. Mike Bobo will get to prove it.

In the meantime, it’s Auburn Week, fellas. Get your minds right for the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.

I’m cheering for the guys in silver britches. And I trust the Kang to do whatever necessary in the days ahead. He’s the best in the business.

Bill Gates and John Kerry don't like the first amendment

They would rather revoke free speech to allow an omniscient governing council to protect the ignorant mass from lies,..because after all, the "experts" are the smartest people in the room

The only issue is that this is highly unpopular and may require a manufacturing of consent through various means that will take decades,...but at least they are honest with their goals
