Bill Oriley said this weekend same thing I noticed on the chat.........

Bill Oriley said first time he can remember that 6-7 weeks out of an election and both sides think they are currently winning and will win the election. Not just the ardent supporters but members of the election team. He said Trump and his polling folks and Harris and her polling folks both think they are currently leading. He said both in 2016 and 2020 Trump's team knew they were behind at this point but felt they COULD win if they could close the gap. Similar to Romney in 2012. This could be unique as i think we see this on the Dawg Chat ie both sides think they are currently winning. Regardless of Trump or Harris winning, the blowback from the losing candidate and their supporters is going to be very high. Russian Collusion, absentee ballot irregularities, access or non access to absentee ballots and etc, ; regardless neither side is going to be a good loser......

Looking ahead to next year at QB

Is Gunner really the best option next year. I love the kid, but i personally don't see him as being the quarterback to lead this team next year. If so it will be a long season next year imo. Are Puglisi and Rashada really that far behind or is it just a seniority thing. We need to get away from that and play the most talented qb and I don't think its Gunner. I know we have to finish this season first, but next year with a first year starting qb regardless of who it is is going to nerve-racking. We need the best possible option at qb that can win us games.

If we go to the portal again it needs to be someone who can actually come in a play right away and not just be a roster spot.

Please answer this rules question for me....

I was watching Oklahoma and Auburn game this weekend and right before halftime this happened...
Auburn used its last timeout and ran another play. The WR caught the pass and did not get out of bounds. So the clock continued to run. (same thing happened in the Minnesota Michigan game.) So with the clock running down with 10 seconds on the clock Aub and Minn rushed the fg unit on the field. This seems to me like they are substituting. However the referees didn't step in and let the defense get set up. It was like the rule didn't apply in this situation. If I were coaching, I would have taken my time to get the special teams unit on the field and let the clock run out since we were substituting.
So my question is does the rule not apply in that situation for special teams substitutions? Is it get on the field, get lined up, and snap it as quick as you can? Or does the defense have time to get set up like a normal play?
