Ummm, the Vent needs to up it's game...

It is 6:30 on International Whiskey Appreciation Day and no one has mentioned bourbon or whiskey?
Opening a bottle of Old Elk 7 Straight Wheat store pick. No idea if it will be any good but it was something different. I may also have a drop of Lagavulin and a drop of Redbreast in honor of our less cultured cousins overseas. Anyone joining in?

Can someone explain the outrage, directed at Isreal to me?

I see lots of rage, directed at Israel, accusing them of atrocities, killing children, treating people like animals, etc.

But wasn't Israel attacked in October?

To me, it looks like Palestinians are mad because Israel hit back, and hit harder.

If you don't want war, don't start war.

How can anyone complain about Isreal's actions, when they are in direct response to an attack on their home?

Yes, innocent casualties are awful. But it's not as simple as the "Isreal is murdering people" narrative I see in many places.

What am I missing. Don't attack if you didn't want to fight.

Think this is dangerous?

Russian warships from the Pacific Fleet have crossed the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and entered the Red Sea, the state-run TASS news agency said, venturing into a maritime region plagued by Houthi attacks and crowded with naval vessels.

The detachment included the missile cruiser Varyag and frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, TASS reported Thursday, citing the Russian Pacific Fleet’s press service, which said the ships were carrying out “assigned tasks within the framework of the long-range sea campaign.”

New FutureCast New prediction in for UGA in 2026

not sure if I shared it when I made it, but I'll take Z Helton at his word when it comes to UGA being No. 1. The 'Bama decommitment was telling here, imo. More on some recent FutureCasts here:

Under the Radar Prospects

I haven’t seen these dudes mentioned much, but 1 or more of them could be this cycle’s Quintavius Johnson. By that I mean committing without necessarily being predicted to do so. Disclaimer: That’s not to say that all these dudes have committable offers or are high on Kirby’s board.

Pick offs to 2B

So, I always thought if a pitcher makes a move to 2B he has to toss the ball to 2B (at least I remember someone saying that was required). I’m watching the LSU-Arkansas game and the LSU pitcher made a move to 2B but kept the ball and nothing was called. If the pitcher does not have to throw the ball why do Georgia pitchers always do it? It seems that the more prudent action would be to keep the ball rather than risk making a bad throw to 2B (if the intent was to just check the runner)?
