NonDawg Would any of the first round games have been better (more competitive) at a warm weather/indoor neutral site?

Texas, Penn State & Ohio State were all nursing some emotional wounds after their recent losses. I wonder if the weekend’s results would’ve been different without the home field advantage? Granted, SMU, Clemson & Tennessee are not exactly murderers row, but perhaps they make the games more interesting? Maybe?

Honestly I hoped Tudersee would keep it respectable tonight but I knew they had no shot at winning. After watching that game tonight it showed me that they are no where Near they need to be to be a contender. Dawg brethren we are blessed and we are still alive with the least take talented team we’ve had in 6 years and yet here we are. I have been around for the Dooley, Goff, Richt and now Kirby era and if you don’t appreciate what is going on with the UGA football program the past 5 years you wouldn’t understand. I’m so proud to be a Dawg!! To hell with ND!!! It’s time to ****in EAT!!

Biggest take away from this season…

Inconsistency across the board. One week any given team can look like world beaters and the next week they can look totally inept. And it’s way more wide spread than any previous year.

I firmly believe it’s a direct correlation to loading the pockets of 18-21 yr old college students with mountains of cash.

I do believe that an 18-21 year old can act responsible and stay highly focused with tons of new found cash. Happens in baseball and basketball frequently. However, those guys are typically surrounded by more mature teammates that have been there.

Here, the whole mob has new found riches and very little supervision and guidance with it as a whole. It’s not hard to connect the dots on why teams across the board are looking so different week to week.

What impressed me most about DeShayne is how he allows

the game to come to him..nothing forced. His last blowbye to the rack was really explosive.

What really impresses me about this team is our defense and how much pride we take in playing it. This could turn out to be our best defensive squad ever. It really tells you something when the the team is up 40-50 points and still busting tail on D.

Buffalo was the worst team we've played. But, at least we got

DeShayne going. They were awful on both ends. Six turnovers is great, but with zero defensive pressure not unexpected. Shooting 63% from the line is not going to get it vs sec in all the close games. Somto has to get to 70%. Again, the best part of last night to me is how we continued to play hard D. Shows mental toughness.

CFB continues to show you

Why you never know what to expect with teams. Ohio St looked like a joke against Michigan. Then tonight happens because they’re desperate and hungry.

Nobody knows truly what will happen in the quarterfinals. Each game will be who comes out fired up playing with passion. Who’s going to be the hunter.

Not sure if Ohio St will match this energy two games in a row, but when they’re fired up they’re dangerous.

I just hope we are the hunters against Notre Dame. I really am not scared of them at all. Problem is are we coming to eat or will we be timid and let Notre dame come in as the emotionally charged up team?

We have to find a way to dig deep because everybody else is locked in without a recent title.

I trust Kirby’s culture, but it’s going to be an unreal job for him to navigate the emotional gauntlet with a backup QB and being the premier program in the country. Everyone wants to beat us so bad it’s insane how possessed they become to take us out.

Not gonna post Vol tears until the game is over, but this Vol prediction is a real winner!!!

Desmond Howard like prognostication Vol: We will BEAT Ohio St and it could be a BLOWOUT

Feel free to bump this thread when it happens. Big 10 Football is a joke compared to SEC and we’ll probably have the most fans for an away game that they’ve ever seen. They’ll be shook. We will beat their ass
