I kinda remember this appeal last year

More money needed so we can get the best players……1 million a win….15 mill a year …..so each player we got will average making 175,000 a year at the age of 17……and your wondering why some family is saying where’s the money….dealing with these prima donnas and their contingent is someone else’s job…..I will continue to sit in the peanut gallery and watch……

We got absolutely boned with our scheduling this year

3 of the first 4 series on the road and the only home series we had was during Spring Break with no students.

And next week will also probably be low attendance due to G-Day and the Masters.

The students have been showing up to mid-week games in force. Hopefully by the time of the Ole Miss series they will still be interested.

The Vandy series happens during finals week and the Florida series is after the semester ends. Feels like the Ole Miss series is the only one where we will have a full crowd. Just absolutely brutal scheduling

Good Morning Dawg Nation

Happy Sunday friends!

Like many of you, we tackled some yard work yesterday. There's not much better than a fresh mowed lawn and completed laundry. Just means I get to relax today!

Crazy baseball game in Starkville last night. I wasnt watching so if anyone has the details on what happened, do share. Watching the videos, it looks the their catcher was a douche
**edit- just read the article @Anthony Dasher wrote

I tried to read most of the NIL threads over the last 2 days and I do believe we have some great ideas proposed from members of the Vent. Of course bringing back the Women's Coaching Clinic gets my vote...lol. Maybe the powers that be with UGAAA and or the CCC will read them and get some good ideas on how to improve NIL donations.

We are about 6 days away from Gday and 2 1/2 weeks away from Draft day. That's means football is inching closer and closer and I'm all for that. I'm not sure why but this off season has seemed usually long.

Safe travels to all those on the move and get well wishes for all who need them!

As always....Prayers for all those in need, spoken and unspoken, and especially for my GMDN friends.

Happy Birthday/Anniversary if you're celebrating today 🎉🎉

Love you guys and gals, MEAN IT.....

Go Dawgs ❤️

**Current Issues:**
1. Donor fatigue among longtime supporters.
2. Lack of perceived value for donors in exchange for contributions.
3. Limited engagement opportunities for fans with the team and program.
4. Traditional fundraising methods may not be as effective in the era of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).

**Fan Perspectives:**
1. Desire for increased access and engagement with the team.
2. Calls for more personalized experiences and tangible benefits for donors.
3. Interest in virtual events, behind-the-scenes content, and interactions with coaches and players.
4. Recognition that the current fundraising approach may not resonate with younger or middle-aged donors.

**Potential Solutions:**
1. Create new donor tiers with enhanced benefits and experiences.
2. Offer virtual events with coaching staff, creating opportunities for fan interactions.
3. Partner with media outlets like UGASports for joint broadcasts and fundraising opportunities.
4. Implement corporate sponsorship opportunities to generate additional revenue.
5. Provide behind-the-scenes content for a subscription streaming service to engage fans.

**Revenue-Generating Ideas:**
1. Sell virtual event tickets alongside in-person events for broader donor engagement.
2. Utilize technology like YouTube's super chat function for fundraising during live broadcasts.
3. Implement micro-donation options for everyday transactions to support Georgia NIL.
4. Explore collaboration with Rivals for additional NIL subscription packages.
5. Offer exclusive access to closed practices or facilities tours for donor contributions.

**Actionable Next Steps:**
1. Form a committee of passionate individuals to develop and present a multi-faceted fundraising strategy.
2. Draft a comprehensive proposal outlining the new donor tiers, engagement opportunities, and revenue streams.
3. Seek collaboration with the University of Georgia and the CCC to implement innovative fundraising initiatives.
4. Coordinate virtual meetings with key stakeholders to present and discuss the proposed ideas.
5. Launch pilot programs or events to test the effectiveness of the new fundraising strategies and adjust as needed.

By structuring your ideas in this way and presenting them as a comprehensive plan, you can effectively communicate the issues, fan feedback, potential solutions, and actionable next steps to drive positive change in the fundraising and engagement efforts at the University of Georgia.

If I missed something please let me know - I need some more time on the ticket issue but will include it. I've already reached out to Matt Hibbs to get an audience & will need some help from a friend or two to get 15 minutes of Kirby's time but definitely attainable.

NonDawg Your death row last meal…

A couple of weeks ago, the state of Georgia executed its first death row prisoner in four years. He requested, and was given, a huge last meal of two chicken sandwiches, two cheeseburgers, french fries, two bags of plain potato chips, and two lemon-lime sodas.

Just for shits and giggles, what would you request? Give me an appetizer, a main dish, a dessert, and a beverage. Per state rules, the meal can’t be over $40 and no alcohol allowed, so it’s got to be fairly simple. Mine is:

Appetizer: A tomato sandwich with Duke’s mayo on John Derst bread
Main dish: Bacon-wrapped scallops with a side of Mac and cheese and kung pao brussel sprouts
Dessert: a big slice of pecan pie
Beverage: Dr. Pepper

Alford

Does Alford’s non chalantness get under anyone else’s skin? He has the urgency about him of a county road worker….

Just annoyed with that throw today across to Collins where he could’ve set his feet. Remember another play earlier in the season when he was at second and elected to not get in front of a ball and booted it cause he tried to backhand it instead.

I appreciate his bat at the plate for sure but on defense I’m just not seeing that top at his position effort yet but then again I never had the talent so I just get to be a fan of the game venting 😅

NonDawg ATL Spring Break has apparently broken 30A’s patience!

We are down in Rosemary for the week and the place is definitely packed. Videos from Seaside showed probably 1,000 kids in the street and shut down traffic on Monday. Rosemary shifted its Walton County Sheriffs Ops Center to Seaside to help out.

Rosemary has cops and security all over the place from 8pm until. Any group more than 5 gets broken up quickly.

Talking to security they are tired of the kids general disregard for the rules and the police. What was interesting is that it wasn’t the Highschool kids as much as it was the middle schoolers. 13 year olds have been the worst!

Every guy has a backpack. My kids have told me that is for alcohol and vapes. They just take people’s unoccupied seats on the beach and set up and get after it!

Seaside has now shut down at night. Even restaurants can’t serve to go food and any unaccompanied teen is confronted by police and must be with a parent. 8pm curfews down the strip.

Just strange of the month of spring breaks that take place down here, Atlanta is by far the most feared by property managers and law enforcement. Entitled kids with zero respect for authority. Families evicted nightly for breaking rules.

If you are booking next year, better have a PO Box with a different mailing address than Atlanta!

I will NOT give money unless...NIL Fundraising Ideas

So I read @Radi Nabulsi latest message about NIL and immensley appreciate all you do buddy and go back to the Grapevine days and first signing day meetups in Athens & the Prado? (the place off of Roswell Road when Graeme was still alive and got to spend time with @mcgdawg @cartersvilledawg and many more...maybe @Anthony Dasher was at one of them but I'm 50 now and my memory sucks! ;-) )

Here are some suggestions for the people that read the board and can make a difference in our internal policies & impact our marketing framework. Yes @Radi Nabulsi Donor fatigue is real and having worked with multiple organizations that rely on Board Member contributions, we can NOT keep going to the same people and pleading our case. What we need to do is create new products and services that give the next generation of Donors an opportunity to get closer to the team while building real sustainable relationships. What I'm not seeing from the collective & the Athletic Administration is a realization that you can't just ask people to give money & offer nothing in return. Forgive me for being direct as I love UGAsports and love your coverage and super appreciatve of you and the staff.....the super big Donor isn't going to get the wealthy Alums...(non family office Alums) to give one dollar with essentially an ultimatum of "do this or we are done" approach. If that's the case well then we are done and I'll keep my money for my four kids and my Grand-kids that I hopefully have one day. UGA, the collective, even Donors play a massive role in all of this & the days of going to a couple of uber wealthy people to raise funds are most likely over. From a business standpoint, we don't want all of our eggs in one basket and diversification is just solid businness logic - personally & professionally.

So what is UGA or the collective doing to create unique services or experiences - couple of ideas or suggestions and more than happy to discuss this offline with anyone that has the ability to make a tangible impact on our "go to market" (GTM) plan for NIL.
  • The CCC needs to seriously reconsider the value provided because I don't see a reasonable commitment from Kirby or the UGA AA - What do I get for $1,200 per year? A video? A thank you card? Some content? What content? Is it better or more unique than UGASports?
  • The CCC, Kirby/Staff & UGAAA need to create a new tier of real "insiders."
  • How many touchdown club meetings around the state does Kirby and the staff attend? Why haven't they created a virtual version of this? I would pay $100.00 per month for a one hour monthly zoom call hosted by the coaching staff (doesn't have to be all on Kirby) and they could have the members sign a NDA to be able to provide more insight than the average bear. That monthly session costs almost nothing to produce in terms of additional costs but it does impact time...and time is certainly precious. However, I refuse to swallow the "give or else" harbinger of doom messaging IF that's what's being pitched inside special circles. IF they truly beleiive that then why aren't they finding new and creative ways to engage the fan base and give us a reason to pledge our money?
  • I've been to the annual GALA and frankly wasn't impressed...now this was during the Richt days but I propose smaller more frequent events at a lower price point to draw in first time givers...events have to always have a VIRTUAL parallel...if they aren't selling virtual tickets to every brick and morter event then they are missing a massive opportunity to increase immediate revenues & a slew of follow on contacts for additional giving opportunitities.
  • Sammy the Bull Gravano is smarter than our Program??? lol Yes he is! I think Radi or someone else mentioned it on one of the broadcasts...why hasn't Kirby or others hosted a massive live broadcast and leveraged the "super chat" function on youtube?? See...they have to change their mindset and adapt to new ways of giving and redefining what the target donor looks like. (based on your post, Radi)
  • Where is their partnership with UGASports on virtual events?? I mean you guys have the most loyal subscribers of them all so why haven't they asked you to do a joint broadcast and fish with dynamite? (again...superchat on youtube has the ability to donate money during a live broadcast for those that haven't used or seen it...if it's good for Sammy....it's good for Kirby! lol)
  • Speaking of the CCC - why is there no corporate sponsorship opportunities? I'd love to review the numbers and discuss some ways to joint market and help both of our business interests.
  • The UGAAA should want alums that run businesses to interact with the program and find creative ways to partner together. I've tried...I've reached out to them multiple times to let them know I have internships for UGA folks and no one has even responded to me...and that's ok...I'm not upset and I'm a nobody in the big scheme of it all...but if UGA wants to change their NIL fortunes then they need to look in the mirror first and ask themselves, "What can I do to fix this and what's my role in this?" From my perspective, I see an organization struggling to adapt new strategies and they are missing huge opportunities because they just don't like the new system.
I do beleive in Kirby and I do beleive he has the capacity to change, adapt and evolve but thus far....the Program, the CCC & the Administration has not created a new approach or service or given me tangible value for my money....and I'm not giving one dollar until they do.

All the best,
Brian

Insider Note Scrimmage notes

Here’s what I was told:

KJ bolden returned a kickoff for a TD and currently running 2nd team safety

Carson beck spinning it

Daylen Everette had a INT

Julian Humphrey struggled running 2nd team. Was specifically told Sacovie White juked him out of his shoes.

Andrew Paul had a 40yd TD run

Arian had a 50 yard TD catch

Will update as more notes come in

Cash Jones...

With another year under his belt and a few more pounds added, this guy might be good this year. Don't count his out because he is a taller thin white dude playing RB. He has good speed and quickness and vision. I hope that every player on the team is massively successful. I do favor the hard workers and underdawgs, a little. We will see. He is a gap runner for sure. Put him at slot and do screens and hand offs to the slot. Excited for him.

Dawg disrespect on Kings of the North Podcast
