Jax Radio is highly entertaining today

The amount of Gators & Noles calling in and venting is outstanding. NONE of them saw this coming this year (especially the Noles who were told time and time again that they had an all NFL DL! And the Gators just wanted to see improvement ... on any front, but did not. And to get lit up by Miami in the Swamp has just magnified their devastation. Everybody is venting while others are discussing coaches that they likely cannot get.

The DJ's are also accepting Clemson calls after also getting chewed up. The calls they are NOT accepting are from Georgia fans that are making mince meat of opponents and again looking dominant. The fans in this region (outside of Georgia/Miami) are broke. I think the shirts and gear are already headed to the attic for another year.

Huge shout out to Russell Henley and Brian Harman for President's Cup selections!

Once again, the biggest stages in professional golf will be well represented by DawgsOnTour. On the heels of his course record 62 at East Lake this past Sunday (and T4 finish in said Tour Championship), Russell Henley was one of Captain Jim Furyk's six picks today to complete Team America's roster to compete in two weeks against 12 non-European International players in the President's Cup in Montreal, Quebec.

And on the strength of his Open Championship win last year and a very strong season this year Brian Harman was also selected to the 12-man American team. That's 16% of the team! DawgsOnTour routinely comprise of over 10% of PGA fields (there were 10 fully exempt Dawgs in 2023 on the PGA Tour), and on some weekends up to 20% of the final cut are Dawgs. But 2 of the 12 men representing the USA in Canada are our very own Henley and Harman. How cool! And for good measure, Kevin Kisner was chosen as a Vice Captain two weeks ago. Cool indeed!

The only drawback I can see is that the President's Cup is being played on the same weekend as the Bama game, but sometimes you have to take one for your Country.

Go USA! And Go Dawgs!

Daylen Everette

I feel like this guy got on the field early in his career (for better or for worse) and was picked on by QBs and venters alike, maybe for good reason. But man, he has really come along and developed into a really solid cover corner. He's a guy I personally feel really good about in coverage now rather than a liability, which is strange because I definitely use to feel the opposite. I hadn't seen any threads on him the past few days and wanted to shout him out. Hoping he continues to show out this year

UPDATE An intriguing 2025 WR prospect to be in town this weekend

Morgan County's Jaylen Elder confirmed with UGASports that he will be in town this weekend. The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect has no offers yet, but the Georgia staff is interested in him. The Bulldogs could be his first.

For what it's worth, I have covered Elder since he was a freshman for my other job. He's had a great start to his senior season, catching 20 passes for 430 yards and five touchdowns. He's caught UGA's attention and is on its radar.

It will be interesting to see where this goes, especially with the scholarship limit increasing to 105. If offered, I would've thought he could be a preferred walk-on, but I am told that Georgia coaches love his game.
