I like all that. Do you plan on negotiating this by calling Putin a pos, war mongering savage in the media. Threaten him with force and tell him he is at fault for everything. I think some diplomacy is needed. I 100 percent agree with you that Putin needs to be threatened behind closed doors. Deviate from this deal and it won’t be pretty. US Military complex - Deep State would benefit as Ukraine would have to retool military equipment to meet NATO standards. Pres Z was installed by Obama & USAID. It was a no lose for Deep State - Putin invading & US providing an endless supply of weapons is a perfect - endless war for Dem’s & Deep State. This is all well documented - Z was/is the Dem’s puppet.
We have a long history in this country of Americans dying in combat because we tried to appease an enemy. We should be providing maximum support to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan etc to kill as many of our enemy as can possibly be done.

None of this surprises me one bit. He isn’t and never will be a straight line pub. It is why Trump has won elections. Because people are so sick of the left and the right. He only identified as Republican because he had to before the 2016 election. A lot of People would just assume puke in their hand than have another establishment Democrat or pub run things. You defended Biden and Kamala with every breath. While they bent you over for four years.
How has Zelenskyy treated Trump over the years? Why would he trust him? I am not applauding or condemning any of this. I don’t like Russia or the Ukraine. They are both corrupt. The damn guy lost more than half the money we sent over there. Zelenskyy is a damn grifter, and Putin is a psychopath. There has been massive amounts of proven propaganda or lies produced from both Russia and the Ukraine. I hope Trump finds a way to screw both of them.
I remember living thru the Reagan yrs and Reagan was roundly criticized for being friendly with Gorbachev even though he was economically breaking Russia. I remember Reagan's opponents stating he was a dunce and would have his lunch eaten by Gorbachev. I don't remember Reagan being enamored with wars that could not be won and a leader of a corrupt country that was costing us billions to defend that couldn't account for the money.
Trump is looking for a deal and Zelensky isn't really crucial in making that deal. Without diplomacy this war will grind on and Russia will take Kiev. Zelensky's only real choice is to play ball with Trump because he can't survive without Trump's support.

Do you think Poland was a perfect country when the Nazis rolled in 1939? How about the UK, who still had colonial holdings across the globe at the beginning of WW2 and you could argue that colonial populations were treated as poorly as how the Jews were treated in Germany at the start of the war?
So I guess there were no good or bad countries in WW2 until we got involved, right? Hey, just don’t look at race relations and how poorly we treated blacks who fought in the war.
Try and say, just in this instance, that Trump is wrong to lie and that his shilling Russian propaganda while offering up not a single condemnation of the war criminal in Moscow is wrong. Everyone knows it is the truth and you might find it liberating.

It would be nice if you read my entire post and not focus on one thing. I have said I don’t care for either Russia or the Ukraine. The war just needs to end. Those two aren’t going to negotiate to end it. Ukraine would stab us in the back in two seconds to benefit them. Same with Russia. They aren’t an ally. I guess In your eyes I am wrong for not saying Russia is the only bad guy here. I don’t see it that way. I don’t like war period. I don’t support what Trump is saying, but I have a feeling it is for effect. And a way to bring both sides to the table. You want to continue to be an all day sucker for Zelenskyy be my guest. History tells us that ending a conflict with a murderous dictator through appeasement tends to provide a temporary reprieve at best.
If you think the comparison is extreme, perhaps the thirty eight journalists in Russia who have been murdered since Putin took power would have thoughts to share.
Maybe check in on the 20,000 or so children estimated to have been forcibly taken from their families in Ukraine and rehomed with Russian families.
Alexi Navalny would have thoughts, if he hadn’t been murdered while being wrongly held in a Russian prison.
Maybe look into the Bucha massacre, where hundreds of civilians were executed in the streets, many with their hands tied behind their backs. Some were tortured before being killed. Or the intentional targeting of a maternity hospital and a theatre known to be housing civilians.
I could go on, but it’s too depressing.

I am aware of history. His history and others. He is a terrible leader and human being. Since we are speculating about what could happen. And speculating the very worst possible outcome. I will speculate some.
The man is 72 years old. He has been in his position longer than anyone in Russia’s recent history I believe. He has survived a few rebellions. One in 2023. I wonder how much longer he will be in charge over there. I would be willing to bet less than 5 years easy.

Neville Chamberlain is a great analogy in talking about Putin, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, and all the radical muslim terrorists. I may be more hardcore than most, but I am always pleased when my tax dollars can be used to weaken these enemies in any way possible including wiping them out.

Honest question. Do you believe Ukraine can defeat Russia and be a sovereign nation in whole without direct assistance that involves manpower from other countries (ie, the USA)?
I have never believed that could be possible. And putting men on the ground would essentially start another WW.
Ukraine is not united. The eastern 1/3 of the nation is pro-Russia. The initial conflict began by casually rolling Russian tanks into the eastern front bc they knew there would be little to no resistance.
If somehow Ukraine were rescued from Russia today there would likely be a civil conflict.
I’m not in favor of bending the knee to Russia. But they are in the position of strength. Not the US and not NATO.

Honest question. Do you believe that if we appease Putin and reward him for his invasion of Ukraine that he will stop there? What would you possibly base that belief on? We’ve seen this story before and murderous, expansionist dictators don’t just decide one day that they have enough. It never works that way.
The Russsin economy is 1/16th the US economy. They are a gas station with nukes. A unified west can absolutely punish Putin beyond his capacity to absorb it. So we can pay now, or pay later, and the cost for later is always more.
