That nutcase RFK Jr.

Yeah. So dumb. HFCS is no worse than sugar. (Please don’t @ me with wacky YouTube videos). And they’re both bad.

All of his wacko ideas (sugar instead of HFCS, organic dyes vs. man-made dyes, etc.) will not improve health (at all) and will simply raise the cost of goods.

Anyone thinking the country will be healthier in four years of this crap is fooling themselves. We won’t be. But we will def have higher prices because of this stuff. Yay!

We could be much less healthy though since Trump is putting a literal vaccine denier in charge of HHS.
Who is Ian Jaeger and what does “allegedly” mean?

Usually when someone is click airing a story, the term “allegedly” usually means they heard someone say it in gossip.

Allegedly means they didn’t interview the source, just passing rumor. It’s a protection word.

But of course we are to take it as truth because it’s what we want to believe.

That’s fair. I know some people who feel that way.

But taking anything that RFK Jr. says seriously is a mistake. The guy is a snake oil salesman. Claiming that vaccines are not safe is untrue. Claiming that evil “food chemicals” are poisoning our food is not true (but also sad that people believe him).

Everyone loves a villain. It’s easier to believe that food companies are “poisoning you” rather than believe “my diet is sh!t and I don’t exercise daily”.
Thought of you and this discussion when I saw this.

Thought of you and this discussion when I saw this.

I appreciate it.

The problem with what this guy is saying is that he’s also wrong.

Kennedy literally said that there are no vaccines that are safe and effective; that’s just untrue as there obviously are.

Common kooky anti-vax claims:
1) “well I just want to see the data”. I mean, all vaccines in the USA are approved by the FDA , the world’s leading drug regulatory agency which is significantly more strict than anywhere else. The data is public for anyone who cares to look. One cannot honestly claim that there’s “no data” when it’s published online by law.
2) “I see the data but there’s not enough to claim safe use” again, just not true. Our vaccines are among the most widely used drugs in the USA so for people to claim the Covid vaccine is not safe or there is not enough data is absurd. It’s been used billions of times. We know it’s safe, we know it’s effective. Trump himself was touting it during his presidency.

There is no debate to have. Vaccines are safe, vaccines work. Anything else is just people who are either uneducated or not interested in living in reality.

But it’s a free country, if people want to learn about healthcare from a trial attorney versus their own doctor, they can. If you think weirdos on Twitter have more information than your doctor or your local hospital, you’re wrong but you’re allowed to feel that way.

The biggest lie the Devil ever told was that he didn't exist..

The biggest lie that the established order ever told was that you cannot resist..

Trump's cabinet picks are all change agents, ie those who have chosen to "resist", including RFKjr.

We live in the marketplace of ideas and time will tell how successful RFKjr can be in his effort to ask questions and create change in the field of health and wellness in our society.

I'm still studying his background but I do know that Kennedy is not completely "anti vax" as some have represented. He has stated that he and his own children are vaccinated and it seems that he feels that parents should have their own choices when it comes to vaccines. Sounds reasonable to me. Let's re-examine vaccines while making sure that we are utilizing evidence-based science ONLY when vaccinating our children.

After all, we just experienced the biggest boondoggle in the history of recent mankind when a Chinese bioweapon escaped a Chinese lab and the aforementioned established order worked 7/24/365 to convince us to shut up and take the vaccine or risk losing our jobs.

Anyway, if he is such a nutcase and the health service bureaucrats truly feel as such, let them engage with him in open debate. I have looked for evidence for any public one-on-one debates and it seems the health establishment honchos are not willing to engage, in fact they have ran away from Kennedy and refused to debate openly and this has been happening for decades.

Focus more on Biden allowing our long range missiles to be used by Ukraine. You won’t have to worry about RFK’s wackiness if we are no longer here
Since not a single person cares to comment on RFK He’s absurd statements, I assume that means you disagree or are knowledgeable enough to know his claims are false. And you’re keeping distance from them. That’s actually reassuring.

As for Biden’s decision today, it’s super disheartening to see American men, Republican men no less, cower at the thought of conflict with Russia. There are many nuclear armed countries on Earth, we can’t just let them all kill whomever they choose because we are scared.

Everyone dies, no one can escape it. At least have a death that means something. Rather than cowering in fear of big bad Russia. When we authorized those strikes today or not, we’ll all be dead one day.

You keep saying that Anyone who does not want war with Russia is a coward. Is that the only reason you can come up with that someone apposes this war? Certainly a man of your intelligence can think of other reasons?

Excellent rebuttal.

What is there to comment on? You are the one misrepresenting what the man has said.

His exact words, in context, were posted in a reply to you. His explanation was posted, yet you continue to hold to opinion pieces on the man from liberal media.

Mature grown men don’t cut and paste comments in attempts to discredit an opponent opinion.

But that is what you hold to.

southerngentleman64’s post states it quite well, and you have ignored logic.

He’s also just a $hit human, as are most Kennedys.

Man has a penis and is into women. Of course, does does Kamala’s husband. And Kamala’s party life with Epstein and P Did, man did you do a number on them.

I always enjoyed your hit pieces on the slime of the Dem candidates, so going after Kennedy is fair game.

That was you, wasn’t it? After all, you are a beacon of truth for calling out hypocrisy, right?

Lol have you taken a good look at Rachel Levine lately?!?!?

I'll take Kennedy any day of the week over that gender dysphoric freak show.

I'd be lying if I said RFK Jr isn't a bit eccentric and I hope Fauxahantas and every other senator has plenty of questions for him. I was always taught questions are good. That's how we learn. Even if the question is ridiculous, an informed answer should get to the truth. Conversely, I hope the media focuses on RFK Jr's answers in the proper context and attempts to find the true answer to the questions he poses as well.

Instead of focusing on misrepresenting his position as anti vax, maybe an honest conversation about identifying kids that are at risk for vax reactions and not killing them is a worthwhile goal. Maybe exposing who is donating to and getting preferential treatment from pols and regulators isn't a terrible thing. One of my best buds in high school lost his first born to reactions to the childhood vax regimen. It would have been nice if there had been a test to identify the risk before he was vaxed.

Was I concerned that a dude walking around in drag is in charge of health policy? Um, yeah. Because that dude needs a psychiatrist immediately.
I went back a few years and could find where you shared your concerns about Levine. I mean, seriously this dude being in charge of anything should be a concern right?

Would you like to respond to any of a Kennedy’s wacky claims?

Autism was listed on warning label of a common childhood vaccine that was later removed from the market. The label has been taken down from FDA’s website, site but you can find it captured on the Wayback Machine here.

Folks - this man is a nutcase who goes around suing American companies and trying to fear monger about how bad what they do is so he can taint a jury pool and win a verdict. And he’s good at it. Please understand that nothing this man says is true. I’m sure our posters on this board who work in farming would love to hear that they are more dangerous to America than Al-Qaeda. 😏

From the WSJ today .

Start with his longtime campaign against vaccines. “There is no vaccine that is, you know, safe and effective,” he told CNN last December. None? Has polio nearly vanished on its own?

“A mountain of scientific study links autism to early vaccination with certain vaccines,” he told NBC News in March. No, it doesn’t. The Wakefield study that was the basis for this claim was the result of fraudulent research.

Mr. Kennedy has toned down his anti-vaccine evangelism of late, and he now says he merely wants parents to have a choice of vaccinating their children. But places in the U.S. where parents have sought exemptions from school vaccine mandates have experienced more community outbreaks of measles.

He has suggested that “wifi radiation” is increasing autism, food allergies, asthma and chronic illnesses. “I think it degrades your mitochondria and it opens your blood-brain barrier,” he told podcaster Joe Rogan last year. There’s no evidence for that either. Nor for his claims that chemicals in sunscreen are hazardous.

Mr. Kennedy has blamed chemicals in water and consumer products for every health ill from cancer to gender dysphoria among young people. Genetically modified foods are another RFK Jr. villain. He has proposed that the government create organic-farming communes to treat drug addictions. The American diet could certainly improve, and processed foods have contributed to obesity and chronic diseases. But Americans don’t want to know how high food prices would be if it were all produced “organically.”

Like vaccines, genetically modified crops have been one of the modern age’s greatest inventions. They have increased crop yields, reduced spoilage and pesticide use, and enabled farmers to end starvation. Perhaps Mr. Trump is unaware of Mr. Kennedy’s animus against U.S. farmers, who have been among his most loyal supporters.

“Large-scale hog producers are a greater threat to the United States and U.S. democracy than Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network,” Mr. Kennedy declared in 2002. He spearheaded the trial-lawyer assault on the Roundup herbicide despite little evidence of cancer-causing risk. Ballooning litigation costs have spurred Bayer to consider pulling Roundup from the U.S. market, which would benefit competing Chinese manufacturers.

The same is true of Mr. Kennedy’s anti-business agenda. Beijing would like nothing more than for Mr. Kennedy to use his clout at HHS to hobble U.S. biotech innovation and American drug makers. By the way, where does Mr. Kennedy think most of the “natural supplements” that he touts as alternatives to medicines are produced? The answer is China.

Some Republicans have rallied in support of Mr. Kennedy because they think he will make public-health agencies more transparent and weed out alleged collusion between Big Pharma and government. But he lacks the experience and temperament to manage, let alone reform, HHS’s unwieldy bureaucracy. Mr. Kennedy’s expertise is as a gadfly.

Mr. Trump’s desire to focus on America’s health agencies is welcome, but RFK Jr. won’t make America healthier. He’s more likely to harm public health by spreading confusion and attacking the American companies that are saving lives and feeding the world.
FDC and big Phrama are not lily white much corpution you can have your opinion but have mine

I don’t know a more simple way to explain this to you: vaccines work, and they do not cause autism.
