Good Morning Dawg Family

Well, here we are again. Another Sunday morning after a loss. Unfamiliar territory in recent years. I do think we all knew it was possible....a loss to someone other than Alabama....but it's hard to swallow from Ole Miss, for me anyways.

Something is just off. I can't put my finger on one thing, though. Biggest thing that stands out to me is just the energy/vibe of this group. I honestly can't point out one stand out leader on either side of the ball. There are some really good players but no obvious leadership. CKS seems to coach this group differently too. That's not a bad thing because I believe one sign of a good coach/teacher/mentor is first realizing that all players/students/young men can't be lead or taught the same way. There's been some hints at changes and I'm sure we'd all be okay with that in some areas but again, NIL and the TP have changed the game drastically. The days of college football domination are over with, without money, money, money. I saw someone comment last night that Ole Miss bought mercenaries on the OL this summer ...... it worked, this year. I look back on the 2 recent NC teams and the standouts are a walk-on, several 3 star guys, and a couple of transfers. Vocal, aggressive, smart, passionate, HUNTERS.... and they all had something to prove. Give me a team full of those guys, any day.

We've got one of the best head coaches in football and I wouldn't trade with anyone. Period. No one hates to lose more than CKS. We will get right.

I HATE Orange. This weeks game will be something. Hope the home field advantage and crowd make it a good one.

Happy Birthday to my favorite little man, today!

So Harris won zero states with strict voter ID laws

She won 2 states, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, with photo ID REQUESTED but NOT REQUIRED.

All of her remaining wins were states with no photo ID or no ID required at all to vote.

Just find it interesting.

Especially with the anomaly of votes cast in 2020.

States with no drop boxes, all won by Trump, except two states, New Hampshire and CT that went to Harris.

Also, every state moved right this election. Just saying.

All the math is what is lost in legacy media polls and broadcasting.

What happens if ATM, Texas, Tenn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Alabama all finish the regular season 10-2?

All six aren’t getting in. Maybe only four get in. What is going to happen?

I’m not sure who makes the SEC title game in this hypothetical?

You’d have to think if Texas doesn’t make the title game they’re probably out because no great wins.

It really should be those five all getting in but I have no faith in the committee leaving out a one loss PSU or Indiana regardless of their horrible schedules.

Worst thing that could have happened to us yesterday…

was that early INT, Dart TD, and quick touchdown.

I was very confident going into yesterday… and when that happened, when it’s 7-0 right off the bat and their QB is limping into the locker room, I thought that we were going to roll…

Players are human. Coaches are too. I’m not suggesting anyone completely lost the focus, but you can’t tell me the intensity was same after that.

Maybe we don’t win anyway, but I bet that first half looks a lot different.

That’s not a leadership issue either - it’s just human nature.

Having said that, I’m baffled at the regression from so many players. Development has been a hallmark here, and for whatever reason it seems to have stopped. And in a lot of cases, gone the other way.

That $1.2m is going to be the most expensive money Carson Beck ever earns. But it’s not just him. If I am an NFL GM, I’m viewing a number of our players less favorably than I did back in August.

Crazy thing is, this team could still win a national title. I no longer think we will, but there is still enough in the tank for it to happen. Nobody else in the country would have gone into Austin at night and beaten Texas the way we did. But quite a few teams could manage to not lose by 3 TDs to Ole Miss…

Interesting twist in Rashada case

Former UF director’s attorney is withdrawing because of unpaid fees. I am a little surprised UF is not paying the fees, unless UF’s plan is to say he was a rogue employee.
