What in the world does it take…

1. To see this team actually play 4 quarters of quality football?

2. To give a QB2 a chance when QB1 can’t seem to figure it out game after game? Will this coaching staff ever make that change for anything other than an injury?

I love the dawgs and I will always support them, but it is so dang frustrating to see them show a piss poor effort for nearly half of every game. It’s hard to stomach how much money others and myself invest into them and this is the product we get in return, and yet, they keep asking for more.

Offense Thoughts

The first half was miserable obviously. You don't win big games like this going 3 and out and throwing 3 picks and 2 more potential picks.

With that being said.

The SECOND HALF showed what our offensive identity SHOULD BE. For the past few years we have been a run first, horizontal passing game, then hit you sometimes with vertical passing. THIS TEAM should be VERTICAL PASSING FIRST, let the WRs make the plays, and COMPLEMENT that with the run game. Beck was TORCHING Bama's DBs in the second half. They couldn't defend shit.

I hate losing just as much as anyone, but BOBO AND KIRBY have to see that our OFFENSIVE IDENTITY should be the epitome of the SECOND HALF.

GO DAWGS!

Good Morning Dawg Nation

Good morning all! Filling in for April as she still doesn’t have great access. Well I don’t want to ever see the team that we saw in the first half again but proud of the way they fought back. Never thought we would actually take the lead. I hate bama.

Got a text yesterday that Vidalia will be without power for another 7-10 days. We are to somehow work remote but none of us have internet access or can get in our computer system. I think I’m the only one with power. And My internet access is through my phone which has spotty cell service. Not sure how we are going to do this. All in all I’m not complaining as there are several including some on here that are much worse off. I Pray for all of you.

Heading to Warner Robins and church with Jessica and Ricky.

Prayers for all in need and hope everyone has a great day!

Quick ramblings

1) It sucks Georgia can’t seem to beat Alabama. The narrative is set, though. I fear Bama is now in Georgia’s heads much like Florida was for so many years.

2) A lot of talk about Beck, Bobo, and this offense. This offense has to find its identity much like Bama did last year. Maybe that happened last night.

3) The bigger issue to me is the defense. All I heard is how good they were. Bama made this defense look like a Pop Warner defense. Give Georgia credit for second half adjustments but, with 2 weeks to prepare for Milroe, I am scratching my head over the complete incompetence displayed in the first half. And for once it would be nice for the defense to make a big stop to seal a win rather than give up a game winning play.

4) We can talk resiliency until we are blue in the face but at some point resiliency has to turn into wins in big games and big moments against a better opponent. It’s exhausting when these big games always seem to feature Georgia on the losing end. I’m tired of watching epic highlights of big plays being made against Georgia.

5) This loss stings from a pride standpoint. Part of Kirby’s legacy right now - fair or unfair - is he cannot beat Alabama. But, it’s one loss. Nick Saban, the best CFB coach in history, never had an undefeated season before winning a National Championship.

6) Georgia wins if this game is in Athens. The game should have been played in Athens as it was Georgia’s turn to host. FTMF in Birmingham.

7) I don’t like where CFB is or where it is going. I don’t think Georgia has the kind of resources or irresponsible crazed alumni and donors who will spend any amount of money to be competitive in one sport like their entire life depends on it. But I fear that is what will be required to stay relevant in CFB, unless all this nonsense gets reigned in. And I fear Kirby won’t have the desire to endure this nonsense if it continues.

Credit That Is Due

We all saw the dogshit first half. Bad coaching, bad tackling, bad everything. We’ve all seen the thousands of threads about how bad every player was, how bad the coaches were.

One thing I’d love to give credit to are the young men who didn’t hang their head and mail it in, they fought their asses off and somehow put themselves back in a place to be in a position to win the game, which was improbable. Loss be damned, I’m proud of the young men for fighting and showing resiliency. They have their work cut out for them the rest of the way, but I’m damn proud to be a fan of this team after the grit they showed last night. Go Dawgs!

For all the Beck and Lambo comments about affecting his play

I wonder if him getting a Lambo has actually affected our NIL as a program. A lot of supporters (including me) do not care about giving money to have 21 year olds drive Lambos while it's tough for lots of people to make a monthly mortgage payment.

You have the CCC which seems inept compared to most collectives along with the driving issue among our players in general maybe causing a hesitation from donating?

Dash nailed it!!

Dash pointed out that this team struggles with slow starts and at some point it would cost them against a top tier team. Well Bama made them pay for the slow start and even with the comeback it was humiliating the way the game started!!
Now we find out what this team is made of with games still to be played against TN, TX and Ole Miss who all have high powered offenses and can have the same type of start.

Tip of the hat to our travel Dawgs!

I have to give credit to our travel Dawgs last night at Bryant-Denny. After we were down and looking really bad in the first half, very few of the large contingent of our fans left the stadium. Wished you guys could have heard their stadium when we came back. We were chanting UGA, UGA, UGA, all the while they were in total shock. We can be proud of the support of our fan base for not quitting on the team! Second point, my wife and I were surrounded by Tide fans and they treated us very well at all times during and after the game. They commented great game to us and that they would see us again later in the year. See you guys in Austin in a few weeks and Go Dawgs!
